Thread: Which Type of (Dust) Conveyor?

  1. Which Type of (Dust) Conveyor?

    Dear,

I need a dust conveyor system, that brings the filtrate of a bag house filter, back at some point in the production process.
The bag house have 2 outlet's; 2 screw conveyors in the hopper brings the filtrate to this outlet.

The conveying outline is about 6m straight length, bends (90°) and another 6m straight length.

    Data:

    Particle description: Dust/powder
    Particle size.: 10% < 125µm 50% < 270µm 100% < 615µm
    Dust load:1000-1500 kg/h
    Dust bulk density: 1000 kg/m³
    Relative humidity (normal operation): 10%
Critical humidity (with respect to product):+/- 25%
    ATEX classification: Not hazardous
Flow characteristic: on this moment unkown.

    Requisite:

    Low maintenance
    Dust proof installation

In my opnion is a pneumatic conveyor is the best solution, but i need alternatives.
What is the price ratio, between a pneumatic conveyor and a screw?

I hope someone can help me, thanks in advance!

    Dear Sijosan
Could you pls let me know (the material) what kind of dust that you need to convey? pls also send me the photo of your dust. We are pioneer manufacture of pneumatic conveyor in Vietnam which convey many kinds of material like: rice husk, coffee, bean, sawdust, cement......We received high praise in Dong Thap province , Vietnam in Technical Innovation Contest, then we are confident about the quality and effective of our product. Furthermore, it is produced in Dong Thap province, then the price is very competitive.
Following is the specification of our machine.
    -Distance conveying: 500m
    Capacity: 1-50 tons/1h
    Height: 50-70m
Pls feel free to contact me via email mailan_bmt@yahoo.com for further discussion

  4. Lightbulb An aeromechanical conveyor seems to be an excellent fit

Hi Sijosan. Based on the information provided an aeromechanical conveyor seems to be an excellent fit for this application: can be configured to meet the requested layout with 2 – 90 deg bends; less up-front capital expense and ongoing operating expense vs pneumatic conveying, good dust containment, low maintenance.

However, to fully assess the application we need to know the details of the hopper outlets (elevation, spacing, diameter) and the vessel/equipment into which we are discharging (orientation, dimensions, dry or wet process, temperature, etc.). Would you be able to provide these details?

Here is some more information about aeromechanical conveyors in the meantime: https://www.spiroflow.com/product/ae...cal-conveyors/. I hope this is helpful and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.
