    News from Bedeschi, Italy

(Buzzi Group) CEMENTOS MOCTEZUMA (Mexico plant)

The order has been defined to supply machinery for the raw material line, made up of:
. Crushing units for clay, pozzuolana, iron ore, chalk, lime; it is a primary group made up of a hopper that receives from the trucks, apron feeder and two cascade crushers, primary and secondary.
They are RL crushers, with last generation double serrated cylinder, described in World Cement in April 2002; these machines adapt perfectly to the features of the various materials, that combine hardness with stickiness, making them difficult to process in traditional crushers.
. Circular clay store, rail diameter 60 m
. Circular lime store, rail diameter 80 m
These are traditional pre-homogenising stores with stackers and reclaimers rotating around the central column.
The delivery of machines is planned for the beginning of 2003

    COLACEM – (Italy plant)

Five BEL C pit reclaimers have been supplied, for clay, marl and chalk, for the factories of Sesto Campano, Rassina and Caravate.
The first 4 have already been started-up and are very large machines, with 300 l. buckets, installed and coupled to parallel pits.
The supply also includes a double roller crusher RL type for clay containing hard lime blocks.
The machine for Caravate, working on sand, will be installed after this summary and it will be put beside an equivalent machine already supplied years ago by Bedeschi.

Bedeschi for new Cementownia Chelm project (Poland)

A contract has been awarded from Cementownia Chelm S.A. of the R.M.C. group to Bedeschi for the supply of a reclaimer for the cement plant in East of Poland.
It is a bucket reclaimer suitable for reclaiming very sticky chalk, very difficult to be handled when it freezes during cold seasons. And for these reasons a buckets machine has been selected which, thanks to its own characteristics and to screeping devices for bucket cleaning, guarantees the machine operation also with weather bad conditions. Indeed, this machine will be installed in the plant already existing to replace one corresponding scraper machine.
This new machine has a cantilever boom of 23 m length and buckets of 500 l.
The delivery is foreseen at the beginning of summer 2003.

Bedeschi for new F.L. Smidth project (Viet Nam)

A contract has been awarded from F.L. Smidth to Bedeschi for a crushing group for clay for the new cement plant of Chinfon Haiphong Cement Corporation, Viet Nam.
It is the typical Bedeschi crushing group, very suitable for moist and sticky material (humidity: 15%). It is composed of the Apron Feeder type CNA 6,5/1500B feeding a toothed double roller primary crusher type RI 8,5/1500 and, for the following feeding, of a toothed double roller secondary crusher type RI 4,5/1200. The total capacity of this crushing group is of 250 t/h, with inlet grain size of 650 mm and outlet grain size of 60 mm.
The delivery is foreseen on summer 2003

New Double Roller Crusher Heavy Duty (type RL)

Bedeschi, established in Padua (Italy) in 1908, is highly specialized in raw material handling machinery and services and nowadays consists of about 40.000 sqm of manufacturing facilities and technical offices.
Since almost 50 years, Bedeschi is also specialized in the design and the manufacturing of double roller crushers.
Part of the continuous research and development effort of Bedeschi is the new latest technology of the double roller crusher heavy duty (type RL)
The new crusher, compared to the Bedeschi standard ones, can process hard material up to 2.000 kg/sqm with an input size up to 1.300 mm and a crushing ratios 1:8 and a very low specific consumption (0,6 ÷ 0,8 kwh/ton).
It is a very compact design equipped with planetary gearboxes.
It has the advantage of requiring a very low maintenance thanks to the fact that rotors run at low speed, compared to traditional crushers.
These machines are already successfully tested with different materials (hard limestone, soft limestone and clay) in cement plants (of Lafarge, Colacem and of Cementeria di Monselice – all placed in Italy) and quarries (Unicalce – Italy)
