NEW B050PH PHARMACEUTICAL LAB ROLLER COMPACTOR

Elk Grove Village (IL), February 20, 2004 -- A new laboratory-scale roller compactor designed specifically for research and small pilot-project requirements in the pharmaceutical industry will highlight the K.R. Komarek, Inc. exhibit at the POWDER & BULK SOLIDS SHOW, May 3-6, Rosemont, IL, Booth #1940.

Additional roller compactor/briquetter designs for a wide range of powder-processing industries will be shown in photos and machine drawings, along with samples of typical briquet shapes and sizes produced from ores, chemicals, plastics, solid fuels, metals, waste sludge, flue dust and other materials. EURAGGLO, K.R. Komarek's affiliate based in France, also will be represented for consultation on European applications.

The new pharmaceutical machine, designated Model B050PH, is self-contained in a compact, free-standing unit made of stainless steel, with all drive components separated from the material processing path and washdown-protected by cabinet enclosure. A powered screw (auger) feeder precisely controls delivery of powder or granular test material to vertically paired 100mm (3.9") -diameter compacting rolls, with throughput of up to 20 kg/h (44 lb/h). Controls and displays are housed in a separate cabinet, swivel-mounted for user-preferred viewing direction.

K.R. Komarek, Inc. offers the widest range of test and production roll-type machines in the industry, with current capacities ranging from 44 lbs (20 kg)/hr. to 70 tons/hr., producing sheet, stick or briquet output sized from less than 8mm (0.3") to 152mm (6") or more.
