    POWTECH 2004: Linn High Therm

    Stand 7-412

Linn High Therm GmbH, for 35 years a leading manufacturer of laboratory and industrial furnaces as well as microwave plants, is proud to announce the successful completion of 2 years of development and testing phase for the new 5,8 GHz magnetron. The development and the test of the microwave generator on the basis of the magnetron technology for the frequency 5,8 GHz was carried out together with a well-known Japanese electronic company. Magnetrons of different development stages are since one and a half year in laboratories and smaller production plants successfully in use. It was possible to improve the power and endurance of the magnetrons and to reduce the production costs due to this experiences. The microwave power of a magnetron is 750 W.

The use of the microwave frequency 5,8 GHz is mainly the heating of small/thinn parts and such materials, which slave badly to microwaves. These parts/materials can«t be heated effectively with normal, lower microwave frequencies, so that the new 5,8 GHz frequency has clear advantages.

The new magnetrons are in that way developed that they can be integrated easily into existing production lines of industrial and laboratory microwaves. Therefore it is possible to equip all microwave plants of Linn High Therm alternative with 5,8 GHz or also with a combination of 2,45 GHz and 5,8 GHz.
