    grab crane on pontoon

    is a grab crane travelling on a pontoon of a inland port possible?

    Anything is possible and everything has limits.

    I think I am aware of such a crane in Indonesia, where floating equipment is used off shore to transfer material to ships from barges, instead of having a long wharf through the shallows.

    So, I would not recommend against holding onto this idea and taking it further.
