Thread: Portable Automatic Peschl - Shear Tester

  1. Portable Automatic Peschl - Shear Tester

This shear tester has been developed for use in the field and in the laboratory. The shear test is automatic and can be controlled by an laptop computer. The operation is very simple - anybody can learn it in a few minutes. The test results are saved on floppy, can be shown on the monitor and can be printed. Results are independent of the operator and tests can be performed by untrained employs. The shear tester delivers ONE NUMBER IDENTIFICATION of powder –THE FLOWABILITY- as well as the usual shear test data: angle of internal friction, cohesion, unconfined compressive strength, density and wall friction. The evaluation can contain the calculation of bridges and ratholing.

This shear tester makes it possible to perform the measurement in far plants, it allows to carry the shear tester close to production facility where the changes direct after production can be observed, or in cases where the circumstances predict the measurements in field. However in the own laboratory it is a normal shear tester for performing the shear tests for the technical an scientific application.

The shear tester is light and can be taken as luggage in the airplane or taken with you in the car.
