    Design Calculations for Pneumatic Conveying

    My article "Theory and Design of Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying Systems" was published this month in Powder Handling and Processing magazine. This article gives an easy to use Excel-based calculation method for designing new dilute phase pneumatic conveying systems or for improving the performance of existing conveying systems.

    Thank you Mr. Agarwal for sending me the article on "theory and design of dilute phase pneumatic conveying systems". I found it a practical, hands on approach and I am now trying to compose my own calculation sheet. Since I am European, I have one problem: the use of non-SI units, but I'll get by that !

    I can definitely recommend the article!

    Could you please tell me, what will be the minimum conveying velocity and phase density to be considered to design M type F.K.PUMP pneumatic system for conveying 225 tph PPC cement(Blaine:3700cm2/gm) at a conveying distance of 260 meter & six 90 degree bends?
